The Mayor of Houston, His Excellency Mr. Sylvester Turner, hosted the Honorary Consul General of the State of Qatar in the City of Houston, His Excellency Mr. Rashid Al Dehaimi in the Municipal Council and in the presence of the members of the Council to deliver his Excellency “Certificate of Announcement of the State of Qatar - Proclamation Ceremony” on Tuesday 11/19/ 2019. This came in appreciation and gratitude for the financial support ($ 30 million) provided by the State of Qatar to relief Houston as a disaster-stricken city after Hurricane Harvey hit the city in 2017.
